We believe that the education should provide an opportunity to explore, to experience success, to gain confidence, to improve self-esteem which the project activities offer.

During the Erasmus days, the students from the 8th grade of the REGs were introduced to the European countries that are making the Erasmus+ collaboration project.

NOVEMBER 2019
Students will prepare questions they want to know about the host country (ITALY) and share them on eTwinning. They can mention what they want to see, experience, learn. They can also mention what they already know about the host country. The host students will prepare a quiz which they will share before the mobility and then after the mobility to see what the students have learned during the international visit. This activity will be prepared before every international meeting

I believe there are a lot of things you are looking forward to and a lot of things you would like to know and learn about Italy, Italian students and their school. Use the link on your left, the PADLET, and tell the Italian students what you are interested in.
Literature
Literature - students will make a list of several authors who they consider to be "cultural heritage of the country". They will choose one and study his/her life and work. Students will make a short video inspired in the author's life or one of his/her works. The video may contain an interview with the writer, extracts from the literary work, maps, etc. Students might also write an article about the author. All the work will be shared on eTwinning.
Czech Students
Cultural heritage - it´s also literature! Czech students discussed which writers, either novelists or poets, belong to Czech cultural heritage. Finally, they decided to focus on Czech poets from the end of 19th century, such as Viktor Dyk or Fráňa Šrámek. They studied their lives, works, influence. Having learned a lot, they used the knowledge to write articles, poems, to create book covers and to record an imaginary interview with one of the poets.
Latvian Students
During the Literature month, students made presentations about Latvian poets. Their names are included in the list of Latvian cultural heritage.The students told each other about their life, discussed and analyzed their poems

Students of foreign languages (English, Russian, French, German) will write Christmas cards to their classmates abroad. They will also prepare mind maps, posters or presentations - Christmas in my country and share them on eTwinning.

History Project Day in Přerov
Students of the second grade had an untraditional history lesson. Its topic was Holocaust and the students were taught by their classmates. This method is called peer-tutoring and all the students really enjoyed it. The majority of the lesson was also taught in English. Students working in little groups learned about the history of holocaust, its causes, they saw several videos and fulfilled a kahoot quize. To make students more active, a running dictation was included. The lesson combined two school projects - CLIL and Cultural heritage.

All students from all countries participated in this activity during Prerov Mobility. Czech students preapred lessons on Czech language, literature which they prepared from november to February and they introduced the to partner
ART PROJECT
Art students from Přerov studied the local architecture in September . They learned about the local art, monuments, artists, architects etc. They spent a week painting and drawing.
Students from Spain showed they art activity by making a video which shows reactions, feelings and opinions about the contrast between old and new ways of understanding the use of cultural material. This video was awarded with the first prize in a national contest for young artists held in Zaragoza
APRIL 2020
PROJECT DAY IN THE KINDERGARTEN
This activity was prepared in April but it had to be postponed to autumn. The project day was finally organised on 23/9/2020 in the kindergarten U Tenisu. Five students prepared an event called Let´s discover the treasures of Prerov - My hometown. Being aware of the pedagogical for work with pre-school children, the pedagogy students organized several activities using the knowledge they learned in school lessons of pedagogy and psychology. First, the children studied the town map, tourist signs and the coat of arms of the town. Then they set off to the town and visited the museum of prehistory, the school of Jan Amos Komensky. Back in the kindergarten, they learned several traditional Moravian songs and dances. The project day was beneficial not only for children but also for the students who could use the theoretical knowledge in real life.

SAFETY RULES. VIDEOS
Italian and Spanish students prepared videos in English to explain the rules which have to be followed to prevent getting infected. The videos were shared online
COVID AND CULTURE
Students wrote articles about the culture situation during the covid epidemy in their country. They described the effect of the epidemy and lockdown on various cultural events and organizations. They shared their attitudes and opinions. The articles, which were written in English, were shared on social networking sites, school websites and school magazines.
They also expreseed their opinions and feelings during the different videomeetings we have had during the project development
ERASMUS DAYS 2020. WHAT DO WE LAUGH AT?
Erasmus coordinators decided to join the Erasmus Day and prepare an activity which would combine Erasmus Days and European day of languages. The event had to be simple because of the restrictions caused by the covid epidemy.
We agreed to work on the world of humour and decided to make activities aboutwhat we laugh at.

EASTER AT MY COUNTRY
Easter - to show the other nationalities, how each country celebrate Easter, students prepared several works, in various form, and shared them on eTwinning platform. They shared photos, videos and presentations
Aware of the uniqueness and values ​​of each nation, the students of the Riga English Grammar school got acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Latvian nation.
The students collaborated virtually in MS Teams in their small groups but in the online lesson presented their works to others.
In Latvia, all schools have been closed since the end of October 2020 due to Covid-19.

APRIL 2021
FOLKLORE
International online meeting of students - the topic of the meeting was folklore. Czech and Lativan students prepared presentations and videos to introduce their folklore. The other two countries will present their work during the next online meeting. All the work will be published on eTwinning platform
The music education section also took part in the Erasmus + KA2 project.
Together with the pupils of 2.BP, 3.CP and 4.CP, we recorded recordings of folk songs and dances on the topic of Cultural Heritage - Folk Song.
The short film was made during the month of June, when the students finally met at school after a long distance learning.
The aimof the project was to show the beauty of folk songs in our country, to inform about different types of songs, their origin, to show the melody and rhythm of Czech songs.
The students got involved with great enthusiasm. We recorded songs both solo and chorus, when the whole class got involved. We managed to record a folk dance of minets, which imitates a man's menuet.
It is clear from the video that the pupils of our school are very talented in singing and that today's young generation likes to sing folk songs.

NATIONAL HOLIDAYS
Czech, Italian, Spanish and Latvian students took part in a virtual international meeting with a topic National holidays. The topic was chosen by teachers and students were informed about the topic a month later. They worked in national teams, their tasks was to introduce the national holidays to their friends from other countries. The students were supposed to mention typical national holidays (speaking about traditional habits, food, clothes, etc). The form of the presentation was various. Some students prepared a video and commented on it, some prepared a presentaion, some photos. Each country spoke for cca 20 minutes, with all students participating. Students learned about each other´s cultural, practiced speaking in public, learned new vocabulary. After the presentation, the project participants discussed the future of the project - the possibility of physical mobilities but also they shared ideas for virtual mobilities.

ERASMUS DAYS 2021
Erasmus Days were organized in all partner schools. The public wasn´t invited to participate actively because of the covid and safety rules. Students in all schools gathered information about Erasmus programme (its history, activities, school participations) and share it with the school community - online using school websites and on school noticeboards.
Language day 2021 in Riga English Grammar school
800 million Europeans are encouraged to learn as many languages as possible in their lifetime, both in educational institutions and through self-study. The EU is convinced that multilingualism is a means of better intercultural understanding and is a key component of our territory's cultural heritage.
Since 2001, the European Day of Languages has been celebrated on 26 September each year at the initiative of the Council of Europe. This year for Language Day – anniversary! Riga English Grammar scool has friends in many European schools.
In the context of the European Day of Languages, students (Class 7) who have just started studying a subject in the curriculum carried out various practical tasks, getting to know the countries where friends of Erasmus+ projects live.
In them, students explored both the geographical aspects and linguistic characteristics of European countries. By carrying out tasks and working together in groups, students strengthened meaningful technology usage skills both in the acquisition of information and in the use of tools that are also useful in everyday life.
Interactive maps in civics lessons
Pupils from class 3 of the CP also took part in the Erasmus + KA2 - Cultural heritage project. In civics lessons, they created interactive maps in Google Earth in order to introduce foreign students to interesting places in our region. In groups of several, they created engaging interactive maps of Olomouc, Kroměříž, ProstÄ›jov and Otrokovice. Thanks to this, foreign students have the opportunity to see interesting places as if they saw them with their own eyes. For each stop on the map, they can then learn more about a specific place. Pupils of the 3rd CP also prepared a fun Kahoot quiz for students, thanks to which foreign students can check what they remembered while browsing the interactive map.

CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS
Students of the first year decided to make a project lesson on Czech Christmas traditions. First, they learned about them, shared the information, chose one of the traditions, drew a picture showing the tradition, made its photo and added note in English to explain the traditions. Photos were shared on eTwinning, school noticeboards and will be used during Open Days, and if possible during virtual mobiltiy

SOCIAL PHRASES (ONLINE)
An international meeting was organized. The topic was given students beforehand and they were well prepared. The topic was social phrases in all partner languages. Students prepared sets of useful everyday phrases and learned them in all partner languages. During the online meeting they presented what they learned and tried to teach them to other participants. They also discussed the ideas for the next meeting

Přerov, Olomouc - my hometown
Czech drama of the 20th century
Czech history and literature teacher prepared a research project which consisted of several project days with various activities, their topic was Jan Amos Komenský - Czech philosopher and pedagogue. Students who took part in the project were enthusiastic and creative. They produced various forms of outcomes (portraits, collages, sculptures, poems, songs). Some of them were shared on school noticeboards, some of school websites or social media. All outcomes were shared on etwinning platform.
Přerov monuments through the eyes of 2nd year PMP
students 2nd year PMP students took part in the Erasmus + KA2 project, when they shot videos about selected Přerov monuments in teams. They then presented their creations to their classmates in history lessons during January. We face the imaginative design, careful processing and technical skills of our students. At the same time, we thank everyone for their exemplary involvement in the project.

The aim of the project was to acquaint pupils with the development of Czech theater and to actively involve them in activities related to finding the necessary information.
The output of the project is a bulletin board with photographs, a division of small form theaters, a treatise on the Liberated Theater and its protagonists JiÅ™í Voskovec and Jan Werich, a short treatise on the work Princess Dandelion by Jaroslav Kvapil, Radúz and Mahulen by Julius Zeyer, the Semafor Theater and also a short drama Advent Candle, created by Lucie Štecová.
The whole class of the 4th CP joined the project again with great dedication.
