I believe there are a lot of things you are looking forward to and a lot of things you would like to know and learn about Spain, Spanish students and their school. APRIL
25TH

Road to Plasencia
Family accomodation
19 students and 5 teachers will arrive in Spain. Students will be accommodated at the host families, teachers in a BB. The activities prepared by the Spanish school are as follows and are expected to last 9 a.m. – 5/6 p.m.
APRIL
26TH
09.00 h. Meeting at school. Guest students and teachers will arrive at I.E.S. Pérez Comendador and meet the principal, teachers and students and vist the school.

09.30 h. Project development. Welcoming and opening speech by Prof. Javier Escalante, the school headmaster, followed by participants’ speeches about Cultural Heritage Programme Development.
​
10.30 h. Coffee break. Typical Spanish “chocolate con churros”.
​
11.30 h. Mayor reception. Participants of the project will be welcomed by Plasencia’s Mayor in the Town Hall where he will give a lecture about Plasencia Cultural Heritage.
​
12.00 h. Guided Tour around Plasencia. Cathedrals and walls with an English guide.
​
14.30 h. Lunch time. Students with host familes.
​
Afternoon first activity: students in mixed nationalities will go sightseeing in the town of Plasencia taking pictures and videos and collecting information of the most important monuments and churches for our common project.
Teachers: free time.
​
19.30 h. Evening activity: Star Gazing. Students and teachers will walk to Santuario Virgen del Puerto to observe the stars in one of the cleanest skies in Europe. Participants should take sandwiches with them (night picnic) provided by host families.

27TH
9.00h. Cultural trip. Private transfer to the city of Cáceres, UNESCO World Heritage.

10.30 h. Guided tour in English

12.30h. Activity: Students will take photos and videos of the most outstanding monuments for the development of the project.
Students and teachers will be free to have lunch in the local restaurants.

16.30 h. Private transfer (departure to Plasencia).
​
Free evening.
Students will have dinner with host families.
APRIL
28TH
I.E.S. Pérez Comendador will hold its School Festival Day to welcome the third school term. Traditionally, teachers and students prepare activities related to our folklore (games, food, dance, sports, exhibitions, contests...)

9.00 h. -14.20 h. Students' activities. Students will participate in all the activities which will be organised by teachers and students.
​
Free afternoon for students and teachers
APRIL
29TH
09.00 h. Let’s continue working. Students will be divided into 7 mixed nationalities teams and they will prepare the answers to a previously designed questioannaire related to the second mobility.
Teachers will have a project meeting and will discuss the details of the programme for the next international meeting. They will also evaluate the activities done and discuss positives things and things to improve.
There will be a debate among students (topic will be chosen during the activity)
13.00 h. Debate Presentation by mixed nationaly teams.
14.20h. Students will have lunch at host families.
Afternoon: students will organise all the material they have gathered and upload it on the social netwoks of the programme.

Teachers’ dinner: Teachers will have a dinner together to continue with the programming and developing of activities
APRIL
29TH
08.30 h. Visit Monfragüe National Park. Private transfer. Trekking shoes advisable.
Students will take sandwiches provided by host families.
09.30 h. Visit Monfragüe Interpretative Center.
10.30 h. Coffee break. Participants can have their light lunch (sandwiches or food from the restaurants nearby).
11.00 h. Transfer to Salto del Gitano.
1 2.00 h. Transfer to Bus Parking. Students will visit Monfraqüe Castle; once they are on the top of the hill, students will hike down the hill to Fuente del Francés
14.00 h. Departure to Plasencia (private transfer).
19.00h. Attendance Certificate Awards Ceremony. IES PEREZ COMENDADOR
20.00 h. Students and teachers dinner.
21.00 h. Farewell Party.
