I believe there are a lot of things you are looking forward to and a lot of things you would like to know and learn about Italy, Italian students and their school. Road to Capua

Family accomodation

18 students and 6 teachers will arrive in Italy. Students will be accommodated at the host families, teachers in a BB. The activities prepared by the Italian school are as follows and are expected to last 9 a.m. – 5/6 p.m.

09.00 Meeting at school: Guest students and teachers will arrive at Liceo L. Garofano and meet the principal, teachers, staff and students

10.00 Project presentation: Welcoming and opening speech by Prof. Giovanni Di Cicco, Principal of the school, followed by the introduction and presentation of the project by the teams.

10.45 Plenary Session: Prof.re Antonio Maio Phd, honorary Inspector of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and member of the ICOMOS ( International Council Of Monuments And Sites) will give a lecture about the topic of the project.

11.30 Teams will transfer to the School of Music “GESU’ GONFALONE“ Visit to the music school

12. 30: Plenary sessions” How to save a monument: The way it was…the way it is

13.00: Lunch break at school

15.00: 1st activity: students in mixed nationalities will go sightseeing in the town of Capua taking pictures and collecting information of the most important monuments and churches

18:30 Students come back home ( dinner in the family) , teachers at the BB

08.30 1st Work shop at Liceo Garofano : How to make a terminological record: plenary session (prof.ssa Fiano)

10:00 Coffee break ( teachers)

10:30 2nd activity: The students will be divided in mixed nationalities teams. They will start working at a brochure about the monuments visited and at the terminological records

12:30 Visit to the amphitheatre ( private transfer )

14:00 Transfer to “The Carissimi” Hotel management school

2nd Workshop: Local food as a cultural heritage :

17:30 free time

Students will have dinner in the families

09:00 Students and teachers will visit the Royal Palace of Caserta Unesco Heritage

Teachers will have a project meeting and will discuss the details of the programme for the next international meeting. They will also evaluate the activities done and discuss positives things and things to improve. Students will prepare presentation of what has been done ( in mixed nationalities teams).
